Job description
An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to support a 250-bed hospital equipped with EPIC and Omnicell systems. This contract role offers hands-on involvement in critical pharmacy operations, ensuring quality patient care through medication management and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with protocols
Conduct pharmacokinetic evaluations to optimize drug therapy plans
Consult with physicians and nursing staff on medication-related issues and recommendations
Maintain thorough documentation and support pharmacy operations aligned with hospital policies
Qualifications: Valid Missouri pharmacist license required
Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with clinical settings
Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and medication therapy management
Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as EPIC and automated dispensing tools like Omnicell is advantageous
Location: Rolla, Missouri
Schedule: Flexible to start as soon as possible, on a 13-week contract basis
