Job description
A Clinical Pharmacist is sought for a contract position in an outpatient pharmacy setting located in Willits, CA. This opportunity involves day shift work and offers a 16-week plus engagement starting as soon as possible. The role emphasizes direct patient interaction and pharmacy operations oversight, ideal for a licensed California pharmacist comfortable with retail pharmacy environments and competent in managing pharmacy technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Filling and verifying prescriptions accurately to ensure patient safety
Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
Counseling patients on their prescription medications and over-the-counter products, providing clear and effective guidance
Utilizing Cerner software for pharmacy information management and documentation
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid California pharmacist license
Experience in retail pharmacy environments is preferred
Proficiency with Cerner or willingness to learn quickly
Strong communication and patient counseling skills
Comfortable overseeing pharmacy staff and workflow
Location: Willits, California, outpatient pharmacy facility
