Job description
This role offers an opportunity to support patient care through expert pharmaceutical services within a reputable inpatient hospital setting. As a clinical pharmacist, you will apply your professional knowledge to ensure patients receive safe and effective medication therapy, in alignment with the department's goals and regulatory requirements.
Location: Chico, CA (Facility in Magalia, CA area)
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Day shift, varied start times, 10-hour shifts
Start Date: ASAP
EMR System: EPIC
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical judgment and professional pharmacy services to support patient care in the inpatient setting
Identify, resolve, and prevent medication-related issues to optimize therapeutic outcomes
Operate within established policies, departmental protocols, and relevant state and federal regulations
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use
Desired Qualifications and Experience: Current Registered Pharmacist license in good standing with the State of California
Minimum one year of hospital experience in an inpatient, decentralized pharmacy setting
Proficiency with pharmacy computer programs and Windows operating systems
Strong application of drug knowledge combined with sound clinical judgment
