Job description
A hospital pharmacist position is available in a behavioral health setting, offering the opportunity to work as the solo pharmacist within the facility. This contract role runs through June 13th, with an immediate start.
Location:
Mccomb, MS
Schedule: Monday through Friday
9:00 am to 4:00 pm
No weekends
Key Responsibilities: Checking and verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety for patients
Conducting medication controls in compliance with regulatory standards
Operating independently as the sole pharmacist on site, with support from pharmacy technicians
Utilizing medDispense and Azalea Health electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage pharmacy operations
Desired Experience and Qualifications: Licensed clinical pharmacist with experience in hospital or behavioral health pharmacy settings
Proficiency with medDispense and EHR systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
Experience with medication verification and control procedures
Comfortable handling responsibilities as the solo pharmacist in a behavioral health environment
