Job description
A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available in Memphis, TN, supporting a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. This 13-week contract role starts on 10/5 and features a day/evening shift from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Ideal candidates will have strong pediatric clinical experience and a Tennessee pharmacy license.
Responsibilities:
Provide consultative services and clinical expertise to evaluate and enhance medication use and therapeutic outcomes.
Promote ongoing improvements within the pharmacy scope of practice.
Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and authorized practitioners.
Advise physicians, healthcare staff, residents, and patients on safe medication administration.
Participate in the development and enforcement of policies and procedures related to medication safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience in pediatrics.
Active Tennessee pharmacist license.
Strong understanding of medication safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and patients.
Ability to adapt to shifting responsibilities within a pediatric trauma hospital setting.
