Job description
An overnight clinical pharmacist role is available to support inpatient care at a major medical center's main campus. This position involves working four 10-hour shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, starting mid-June for a 13-week period. The role requires thorough knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and familiarity with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting medication order verification and clinical checks
Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and accuracy
Performing IV medication verification and preparation oversight
Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
Qualifications: Licensed pharmacist with at least one year of recent inpatient experience
Proficient with EPIC EMR system or equivalent clinical software
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
Location: Naperville, IL (main campus area)
