Job description
A clinical pharmacist position is available at an infusion pharmacy serving Ventura County, specializing in a diverse range of medication classes, including chemotherapy and oncology treatments. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced clinical environment dedicated to patient care and medication management.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify infusion therapy orders with precision and clinical accuracy
Ensure safe preparation and dispensing of chemotherapy and other infusion medications
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens for complex cases
Monitor patient responses and manage adverse drug reactions proactively
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and pharmacy best practices
Desired Qualifications and Experience: Active California pharmacist license in good standing
Experience in infusion pharmacy settings, with a strong preference for knowledge of chemo/oncology medications
Ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Commitment to patient safety and high-quality pharmaceutical care
Location: Ventura County, California (Oxnard area)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
No night or weekend shifts
Contract Details: Initial assignment of 13 weeks or longer
Potential to transition to permanent employment based on performance and mutual fit
Immediate start preferred
