Job description
Role Overview: Seeking licensed pharmacists to join a fast-paced, clinically focused environment. Responsibilities include assessing, monitoring, initiating, and modifying medication therapies based on patient needs, ensuring accurate medication preparation and dispensing, and resolving medication-related issues. The role involves supervising support staff, counseling patients, and promoting optimal drug therapy outcomes. Pharmacists will evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, document activities, and identify opportunities to enhance safety and efficiency within the medication use process.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, with at least 2 years of experience; licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) and Medication Therapy Services certification in MO. Preferred qualifications include a Doctorate in Pharmacy and 2-5 years of experience. Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Key Duties:
Manage workflow and oversee technicians, interns, and volunteers, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations.
Participate in departmental meetings and committees.
Serve as a medication therapy resource, providing drug information and staff training.
Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, considering patient conditions and therapies.
Identify opportunities to improve medication safety and efficiency.
