nSummary:
nThe Clinical Practitioner works collaboratively as a licensed and credentialed independent practitioner with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive health assessment, diagnosis and treatment of individuals with acute and sub-acute illnesses consistent with privileges granted; The Mid-Level Provider will utilize advanced clinical skills and knowledge to assess patients and manage their care, utilizing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions; The provider will communicate pertinent clinical issues to the collaborating/supervising physician and facilitate arrangements for consultation, follow-up, and or intervention; Scope of practice and delineation of Clinical Practitioner privileges are credentialed and approved by the Chair of Medicine, Chairmen of Credentials Committee, and Medical Executive Committee, et.al
nResponsibilities:
nEDUCATION
nnnLicensed Physician Assistant in New York, Current NYS license
n
nnGraduate of an accredited college or university with a Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant approved program with recorded certification
n
n nOr
nnnLicensed Nurse Practitioner in New York, Current NYS license
n
nnGraduate Degree as Nurse Practitioner
n
n nFor all candidates:
nnnInfection Control Training certificate required
n
nnCurrent licensure
n
n nKNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY
nnMust have good verbal and written communication skills. Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non-verbal communication.

nnWorks in office area and patient rooms throughout the facility

nnWorking hours are varied, works beyond normal working hours or weekend coverage as necessary
