Job description
Description: The Quality Assurance & Medical Records Clinician supports quality improvement, medical records management, compliance monitoring, and health information management activities within the Community Mental Health Center. This position conducts clinical chart audits to ensure quality documentation, regulatory compliance, and continuity of care; processes medical record and patient documentation requests; coordinates responses to audits and record requests; assists with Health Information Exchange (HIE) activities; and maintains the confidentiality and security of protected health information.
The clinician serves as a resource regarding documentation standards and may participate in limited utilization review activities as assigned.
Requirements: Education and Experience
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field required.
Current Mississippi licensure as a CMHT, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or other qualifying behavioral health credential required.
Minimum of two years of behavioral health experience required.
Experience in quality assurance, chart auditing, compliance, accreditation, medical records, or utilization review preferred.
Community mental health experience preferred.
