Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team at the Latinx Talk Therapy & Wellness Center. In this full-time remote position, you will play a critical role in addressing the psychosocial aspects of healthcare, providing essential support and counseling to patients navigating their treatment journeys. Work Environment
As a remote position based within a detox center setting, you will be part of a collaborative and interdisciplinary team that includes doctors, nurses, and mental health professionals. Daily communication and collaboration with team members will ensure that you stay connected and informed about patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify emotional, social, and financial needs of patients, ensuring a personalized approach to care.
Provide individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on issues related to adjustment, grief, and coping strategies tailored to the diverse needs of patients.
Collaborate effectively with medical staff to integrate psychosocial interventions alongside medical treatments, enhancing overall patient outcomes.
Coordinate post-discharge services with local community organizations to facilitate a smooth transition and continued support for patients.
Offer emotional support, education, and resources to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their healthcare options.
Develop and implement detailed discharge plans that include connecting patients to appropriate community resources and supports.
Participate in hospital committees and initiatives to contribute your expertise in social work and advocate for best practices in mental health care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and interventions in compliance with all legal and organizational standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will involve working primarily with clients undergoing detoxification processes, offering nuanced understanding and support tailored to their unique experiences. You will serve individuals from diverse backgrounds, focusing predominantly on Latinx populations, helping them navigate not only their addiction recovery but also any co-occurring mental health issues.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
An active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.
Proficiency in clinical documentation, assessment, and treatment planning in a healthcare context.
Preferred Experience
Two years of experience in a healthcare or hospital setting, particularly in mental health or addiction treatment.
A strong understanding of mental health disorders and crisis intervention techniques.
Experience working with diverse populations, particularly within the Latinx community.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, based on experience and expertise, along with a generous sign-on bonus. Additional benefits include:
