Pediatric Nursing AssistantChildren's Minnesota is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. The national honor recognizes the top diverse healthcare executives and organizations influencing public policy, care delivery, and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in their organizations and the industry.Our Minneapolis 6th floor is a 33-bed pediatric medical/surgical unit that cares for a spectrum of children from infants to young adults suffering from both acute and chronic medical conditions. Our team of dedicated professionals specializes in the care of patients with cystic fibrosis, respiratory conditions, non-critical trauma, neurological conditions (both medical and post-op surgical recovery) and urological conditions (both medical and post-op surgical recovery). Our patients have an average length of stay ranging from days to several weeks for a specialty diagnosis. Patients are cared for by strong inter-disciplinary teams that include child life, social work, integrative medicine, dietitians, case managers and other specialists. We rely on teamwork, with open and respectful communication, and promote an environment that encourages learning and professional growth. Our team is committed to providing excellent care to our patients and families.Provides safe patient care as delegated by licensed nursing staff and maintains equipment and supplies per unit standard. Completed a nursing assistant course or equivalent experience, or completed a nursing or health care related clinical practicum course. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Education *High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience *One year of previous Nursing Assistant experience or equivalent experience preferred.
