Job description
Clinical Support Assistant/Transporter
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full time clinical support assistant/transporter under the direction of the manager, patient transport/customer service or authorized designee, the transporter will safely and efficiently transport patients throughout the medical center.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of a nurse aide program preferred.
Experience: Nurse aide experience preferred but not required. Previous experience working with the public and or patients and their families helpful.
Skills: Verbal ability required to communicate with patients and understand instructions received from nursing staff. Ability to lift patients and operate transport equipment. Good body mechanics. Have nimble hands and a pleasing voice. Should have the ability to remain calm even when working under pressure. Maintains BLS certification.
