Clinician Technician (CMA/LPN)This is a 0.8 FTE primarily working at our Webster and Frederic clinics with potential to float to other locations when needed. There is currently no evening, weekend or holiday requirements, but this could change with business needs. This person will generally work with our specialty care teams. Hours are generally Monday through Friday 7:40-4:40. Flexibility is greatly appreciated.The Clinician Technician (CMA/LPN) is responsible for planning and managing patient care according to patient need. Responsibilities also include rooming and interviewing patients, recording medical history and physical condition information including taking and recording patient vital signs.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of provider and following SCH policies and processesRoom patientsAssist providers with procedures, examinations or treatmentsMonitor patient condition during treatments, procedures or activitiesCleans medical equipment or instrumentsRecord patient medical historiesPrepare medical supplies or equipment for useCollect specimens from patients and prepare for testingComplete appropriate documentation in EMRProvide approved patient education.Manages patient follow-up activities and responsibilitiesDocument patient phone calls and follow-up data in EMRMaintain medical facility recordsSchedule patient procedures and appointmentsExplain medical procedures or test results to patients and/or family membersFollow-up regarding patient plans, lab letters and other documents in a timely and accurate mannerProcess other requests, including medication prior authorizationsComply with department and facility standardsUnderstand Clinic Policies and ProceduresPerform work according to organization policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedMaintain inventory of medical supplies or equipmentOrder medical supplies or equipment* While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the job requirements, management reserves the right to modify, add or remove duties from particular jobs and to assign other duties as necessary.RequirementsEducation & Licensure:Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program & current CMA/RMA credentialsCurrent BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS course-OR-Current LPN license in the State of Wisconsin and MinnesotaCurrent BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS courseExperience:Prior clinic experience preferredPrevious experience with Epic or Excellian software desiredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong time management and prioritization skillsFlexible and willing to fill different roles as neededExcellent communication and listening skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently with little direction and manage multiple demands and prioritiesPositively contributes to a team environment, assisting the organization in achieving goals and objectivesStrong customer service skillsSt. Croix Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided with reasonable accommodation throughout the hiring process.
