CMA/LPN Clinical TechnicianSt. Croix Health is currently seeking a CMA/LPN Clinical Technician. This is a full time position (0.9-1.0 FTE) working at our Webster clinic with potential to fill in at other locations when needed. There is currently no evening, weekend or holiday requirements, but this could change with business needs. Hours are generally Monday through Friday 7:40-4:40. Flexibility is greatly appreciated.This position is responsible for planning and managing patient care according to patient need. Responsibilities also include rooming and interviewing patients, recording medical history and physical condition information including taking and recording patient vital signs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under direction of provider.Room patientsAssist providers with procedures, examinations or treatmentsMonitor patient condition during treatments, procedures or activitiesSterilize medical equipment or instrumentsAdminister immunizations per protocolRecord patient medical historiesPrepare medical supplies or equipment for useCollect specimens from patients and prepare for testingComplete appropriate documentation in EMRManages patient follow-up activities and responsibilities.Document patient phone calls and follow-up data in EMRMaintain medical facility recordsSchedule patient procedures and appointmentsExplain medical procedures or test results to patients and/or family membersFollow-up regarding patient plans, lab letters and other documents in a timely and accurate mannerProcess other requests, including medication prior authorizationsComply with department and facility standards.Understand Clinic Policies and ProceduresPerform work according to organization policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned.Maintain inventory of medical supplies or equipmentOrder medical supplies or equipment* While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the job requirements, management reserves the right to modify, add or remove duties from particular jobs and to assign other duties as necessary.RequirementsEducation & Licensure:Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program & current CMA/RMA credentialsCurrent BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS courseORCurrent LPN licensure in the State of Wisconsin and MinnesotaCurrent BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS courseExperience:Prior clinic experience preferredKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong time management and prioritization skillsFlexible and willing to fill different roles as neededExcellent communication and listening skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently with little direction and manage multiple demands and prioritiesPositively contributes to a team environment, assisting the organization in achieving goals and objectivesStrong customer service skillsPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerProlonged periods of standing, bending, and reachingMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at timesSt. Croix Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
