Spectrum Health & Human ServicesAgency Profile: Spectrum Human Services respectfully partners with adults, children and families as they recover from behavioral, emotional, mental health and/or substance related disorders by offering individualized and meaningful opportunities of hope, empowerment and support to achieve self-defined improvements in their quality of life.Full-time: 1775 Niagara Street, Buffalo, NYSummary Of Position Function:Provides outpatient behavioral health treatment services to youth in an embedded school-based mental health program. Ensure clinical interventions to support children and adolescents with substance use disorders, mental health disorders and/or co-occurring disorders in accordance with regulatory requirements. Provides assessments, treatment planning, counseling and crisis interventions for youth and their families. Serves as a collaborative partner with the school district and school leadership to support the integration of services.Major Duties And Responsibilities:Provides leadership of the embedded school-based program, coordinating with the school district to support the referral of and coordination of care of the district student populationProvides direction and leadership in the development and execution of the school-based mental health programCollaborates with the school district leadership to support the initiatives of the collaborative relationshipProvides all services in accordance with agency requirements and regulatory expectationsKnowledge and demonstration of agency core values in day-to-day activitiesMeets productivity standard of 100% annuallyMeets documentation timeliness standardsDemonstrates ability to effectively use technology and appropriate use of supportFollows Agency policies and proceduresCompletes yearly update trainingsHandles intake calls and performs initial assessments commensurate with regulatory requirementsDevelops and reviews client individual action plan, objectives, and methods consistent with assessment of problemConducts individual, group and family sessionsCoordinates services with other staff and other agenciesImplements established treatment plan and provides assigned professional interventionsCoordinates with collaterals and family members to encourage their participation in client's treatment as well as their own treatment, if neededServes as resource person/consultant to other service providers in identifying clients for referral and works cooperatively with other providers to assure linkage of clients with appropriate servicesPrepares reports, maintains clinical files, participates in training and provides statistical materialsAssures that advocacy, linking, expediting and related activities are carried out as neededPerforms other duties as assignedSkills/Competencies:Must possess one of the following:Licensure as a Social Worker and two (2) years experienceLimited Permit or Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor and two (2) years experienceEducation Requirements:Master's Degree preferred commensurate with required licensingEducational qualifications must match regulatory requirementsExperience:Experience must match regulatory requirementsTwo (2) years experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical settingPreferred: Two (2) years experience working in an outpatient clinicMust possess a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.Compensation: $51,000/yr - $65,000/yr
