Job description
APPIT Software Solutions is hiring a Cloud Security Architect (AWS & Azure) in San Francisco, USA . Design and implement enterprise-grade cloud security architectures across AWS and Azure, driving zero-trust adoption and compliance for APPIT Software Solutions in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud security architectures for multi-cloud environments spanning AWS and Azure
Define and enforce cloud security policies, guardrails, and landing zone configurations using Infrastructure as Code
Lead cloud security posture management (CSPM) initiatives and remediate misconfigurations at scale
Architect identity federation, least-privilege access models, and zero-trust network segmentation for cloud workloads
Evaluate and integrate cloud-native security services (AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, Azure Defender, Sentinel)
Provide technical leadership during security incidents involving cloud infrastructure and advise executive stakeholders
Requirements
7+ years of experience in cloud security or security architecture with deep AWS and Azure expertise
Professional cloud security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or AZ-500
Expert knowledge of cloud IAM, VPC networking, encryption services, and key management systems
Experience designing security for containerized workloads (EKS, AKS) and serverless architectures
Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53) in cloud contexts
Proven ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable cloud architecture designs
Nice to Have
Experience with Terraform or Pulumi for security-as-code implementations
Background in securing multi-tenant SaaS platforms
Knowledge of eBPF-based runtime security tools
