Job description

About the role Do you love being the person who makes a club feel like home? At Lakeside Park Club, the clubhouse is where members celebrate, unwind, and bring their families, and the Clubhouse Manager makes all of it happen. As our senior operational leader, you'll own the full member experience, leading Food & Beverage, Event Services, Facilities Maintenance, Pool Operations, and Front-of-House with the hospitality, discretion, and polish our members count on. You'll be out on the floor, not behind a desk: greeting members, reading the room, and raising the bar every day. You'll turn the Board's and General Manager's priorities into plans your team can run with, manage the numbers with a sharp eye, and build a team culture people want to be part of. And you'll care for the clubhouse itself as a landmark, so it stays something members are proud of for generations.

What you'll do Run the clubhouse day to day. Oversee dining, bar, locker rooms, pool facilities, and member spaces. Hold consistent standards for service, cleanliness, and readiness, and be the go-to escalation point for member concerns.

Lead food & beverage. Directly supervise the Assistant F&B Manager and set F&B strategy without running the floor yourself. Partner with the Chef on menu planning, service standards, quality, consistency, and cost.

Oversee events and programming. Supervise the Events Manager. Review event calendars, staffing plans, and post-event feedback so every private function and member event meets club standards.

Keep the facility in shape. Coordinate maintenance staff and outside vendors, prioritize repairs for safety and appearance, and plan preventative maintenance and improvement projects.

Manage seasonal youth programs. Oversee the Swim Team, including staffing, and manage Summer Kids Club.

Develop your team. Support department leaders with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Coach and hold the leadership team accountable.

Manage the numbers. Help with budgeting, forecasting, and labor management. Review operating reports and find ways to improve.

Keep the club compliant. Ensure compliance with health, safety, alcohol service, and child-safety regulations.

Build member relationships. Get to know members and families, anticipate their needs, and support club events at an oversight level.

What you bring Required

5+ years of progressive hospitality leadership, including at least 2 years managing other managers, ideally in a private club, hotel, or multi-outlet F&B setting

Working knowledge of F&B operations, event execution, and facility maintenance coordination

Experience with budgets, labor scheduling, and operating reports

Strong communication skills with members, staff, and vendors

Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during the summer season

Ability to pass a background check, as required for roles that oversee youth programs

Preferred

Private club experience

ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification and Virginia ABC responsible-server training (or willingness to obtain within (90) days of hire)

Proficiency with club management or POS software and Microsoft Office

Physical requirements

The essential functions of this role include walking and standing for extended periods, moving throughout the clubhouse and pool grounds, and occasionally lifting up to (25) pounds. Reasonable accommodations will be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

Compensation & benefits The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000 per year . Starting pay within that range depends on experience and qualifications.
