Job description
CMA/RMA In Hematology And Medical OncologyThe CMA/RMA will work in Hematology and Medical Oncology. Candidate will assist patients with management of side effects of cancer and cancer treatment, healthy lifestyle recommendations, reducing risk of recurrence, guidance of safe supplement use, and evidence-based nutrition recommendations. This position supports the clinical activities of the provider, rooms patients, and ensures that all patients receive proper educational materials.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Rooming patients, gathering vital signs, and completing history questionnairesSchedulingNew Patient referral intake and managementRegistrationAnswering incoming phone callsDrawing bloodProviding educational materials to patients on the provider's behalfThis position may also cross-train in other areas.QualificationsThe applicant must have a valid CMA/RMA certification or active NC Paramedic or active LPN license. A minimum of 1 year of work experience in an outpatient medical clinic or similar environment is preferred. Strong communication and organization skills desired.
