CMM ProgrammerStarting wage is based on experience and shift. In addition to a base wage, every associate is eligible for quarterly profit sharing!! Various shifts are available and off shifts include additional shift differential pay.Summary/Objective CMM Programmers provide support to production departments by way of inspecting machined or purchased firearms parts as well as supporting the calibration of in-line gages, jigs and fixtures used within the firearms manufacturing/assembly process.Essential Job FunctionsCreate CMM programs for inline inspection as well as full layoutPerform roving complete inspection of machined partsPerform first article/PPAP inspections for vendor supplied partsPerform gage layout to support calibrationPerform gage R&R studies on new and existing gaugesAssist with gage certification and approvalQuarantine and seek management disposition of material not meeting design intent resulting from improper calibrations and or wear found within the production processes.Develop standard job instructions and train quality technicians on gaging techniques and measurementsAssist engineering with inspection needsIdeal Candidate ProfileCommunication proficiency with all levels of the organizationOrganizational and problem solving/analysis skillsExperience in Microsoft Office, Oracle, Minitab, Gage Management Software, PC-DMISAbility to gather and analyze measurement data and report to managementMust demonstrate technical capacity, thoroughness, and good time management skillsMust be capable of working independently with little supervisionRequired Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or Diploma from a two-year technical, military or trade schoolAt least 5 years of on-the-job experience in CMM programming using PC-DMISStrong computer skillsAdvanced use of standard measurement equipment such as height stands, calipers, micrometers, comparatorsStrong understanding of mathematical and numerical conceptsAdvanced knowledge of general metrology instruments and methodsUnderstand the principles of measurement standards and the importance of traceabilityModerate to advanced blueprint knowledgeModerate to advanced understanding of Geometric Dimensional ToleranceModerate to advanced knowledge of CAD modelingTraining through the ASQ for Certified Calibration Technicians5+ years of quality inspection experienceTwo-year technical degree or equivalent job experience.Moderate knowledge of CNC machining
