Come be with us.Med/Surg Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on 3 WestThe Role: Provides patient care under the supervision of an RN in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.The Opportunity: This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic CNA to join our team of highly skilled professionals on our fast-paced Med/Surg Post-Operative unit, 3 West, at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. This position is 36 hours per week on the night shift (7p-7a), with rotating weekend and holiday requirements. You will work three 12-hour shifts per week.The Work:Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needsGreets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requestedReports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staffAssists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderlyYou Have:State of Maine Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.Current BLS (American Heart Association).Ability to think and work independently and with direction, and communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.High School graduate or equivalent. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
