You are delegated the authority, responsibility and accountability to carry out your assigned duties. Even though your job description is broad, you may be required to perform other related duties and activities.The primary purpose of your job description is to participate in the basic nursing care of the patient from admission through discharge and to perform non-nursing functions. Non-nursing duties will include but not limited to performing CNA duties, keeping rooms clean and stocked, clerical duties as assigned, answering phones and relaying messages appropriately. This position is responsible to the nurses, Charge Nurse, and manager.Minimum - PreferredEducation - High School Graduate or GEDLicensureCertification - BLS - Obtain within 60 days of hire, Certified Nursing Assistant - State of GA or Medical Assistant CertificationOther - Or equivalent education as a Nursing Student for those nursing students actively enrolled in a nursing program (i.e. 1st Semester of basic nursing skills completed with skills checklist verified)Other - Up to 1 year of job related experience - 2 - 5 years of recent related experienceOSHA Job Classification - Category I - Expected ExposurePhysical DemandsActivity - Physical effort normally required for this positionNone - Occasional (under 20% of time) - Frequent (20% - 80% of time) - Constant (Over 80% of time)CLOSE EYE WORK - Job requires use of computer, typing, reading and/or writing. - XSEDENTARY WORK - Job requires continuous sitting. - XLIGHT WORK - Job requires standing, walking, lifting under 15 lbs. - XMODERATE WORK - Job requires lifting, moving, loading 15-30 lbs., climbing ladders, etc. - XMODERATELY HEAVY/HEAVY WORK - Job requires lifting, moving, transferring patients/residents, loading or unloading 31-50 lbs. - XHEAVY/HARD WORK - Job requires above average strength and stamina, lifting or moving materials over 50 lbs. - X
