Job description
CNA PositionActive CNA License in state of WyomingProvides for activities of daily living. Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patient's requests; reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor. Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, anti-embolism stockings, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information. Storing and setting up medical equipment - laying out tools for the next patient exam. Assist residents with all aspects of ADLs as needed. (Dressing, grooming, mealtimes, etc.) All other duties as assignedComplies with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential patient information. Follows all policies and procedures to maintain a safe setting. Participate in all training and continuing education. Maintains licensure to meet federal, state, and accreditation standards.List the technical or specialized knowledge, skills, abilities and functional competencies that are required for effectively performing the duties of this position:Communicates and coordinates with charge nurse in all tasksHave compassion and patience with residentsAssist residents in helping to keep their independenceBe able to assist residents with baths and showersAssist residents with personal care needs, blood pressure, pedicures, weight, etc.Assist residents at Dr. and other medical appointmentsTake incentive to learn medical terminologyAbility to lift to 50 poundsEmpathy and compassionTime management and organizational skillsUsing proper protocol in controlling the spread of germsAbility to follow set rules and protocolAstute observation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication
