Caregiver PositionThe job description outlines your primary responsibilities as a caregiver. This description is not meant to be an exhaustive list of services, as the exact duties to be performed for each assignment will vary. Prior to beginning a new assignment, Senior Helpers will provide you with background information about your client and review any special needs this client may have.Objective: To provide professional caregiving services and to help clients maintain their independence and to assist them with the activities of daily living and household and family support services.Reports To: Hiring ManagerExamples of Benefits:$19/hourFlexible ScheduleProfessional DevelopmentPaid Training and DevelopmentOpportunities for AdvancementLifeMartWork close to homePrimary Responsibilities:Companionship and conversationLight housekeepingHousehold managementWalking assistanceEating assistanceErrandsTransportationAssist client to and from bedOther Requirements:Meal planning and preparationLaundry and linen changingBathing assistanceDressing assistanceToiletingMedication remindersMonitor Alzheimer’s & Dementia clientAssist client throughout the nightDocument activities in the Care Plan Book dailyReport any significant client changes to the office immediately.Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Senior Helpers Employee Handbook and Training Manual.Qualifications:CHHA license requiredAbility to treat clients with dignity and respect.Ability to read, write and speak English at an average adult level.Ability to successfully complete Personal Care Services training and skills assessment test.Ability to drive to get to work and have a vehicle available during assignments.Demonstrate tact, patience and good hygieneMust have flexibility with schedule and be able to work various shifts and daysPass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers.Who is Senior Helpers of Burlington?
