Certified Nursing AssistantThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) administers direct nursing care to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed RN or LPN in an efficient, safe and courteous manner. They provide personal care and specifically defined non-skilled health care services and provide a clean orderly environment for the patient. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient#s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient#s requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit#s/area#s/department#s policies and procedures. Offering $3,500.00 supplemental pay.Job Requirements:Current Wyoming Certified Nursing Assistant certification.A temporary nursing assistant certification may be accepted, but the permanent certification must be obtained prior to the expiration date of the temporary license.Experience:Prefer acute care experience or training in a nursing home, EMT certification, or other health-related services preferred.Experience in Unit Clerk duties preferred.Skills:Must possess a high degree of confidentiality in all matters with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.Must possess an understanding of medical terminology.Knowledge of medical/surgical nursing principles.Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control principles.Able to perform effectively in highly stressful situations.Must be well motivated, organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks.Excellent communication skills.Effective computer and keyboarding skills.Must have ability to learn and use Microsoft Office Suite products including Word and Outlook.Ability to learn new computer software applications.Required Certifications:BLS (AHA)
