CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant, Stroke Med-Surg Telemetry NightsJoin a compassionate healthcare team providing essential patient care in a busy medical surgical telemetry unit focused on stroke patients. This full-time night shift role offers a rewarding opportunity to support patient well-being and safety in a vibrant regional healthcare setting in the Southeastern United States.Key Responsibilities:Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.Provide direct patient care and respond promptly to patient needs or escalate as appropriate.Support nursing care plans by performing delegated tasks efficiently and safely.Maintain a clean, well-stocked patient environment and ensure proper use of equipment and supplies.Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.Engage in ongoing educational and performance improvement activities.Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.Demonstrate commitment to patient satisfaction, throughput, and overall hospital function.Education and Certifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification mandatory.Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.Experience and Skills:No prior experience required; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Basic computer proficiency.Ability to work flexible shifts and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and turn patients as needed.Visual and auditory acuity to observe patient conditions.Exposure to blood and body fluids with adherence to safety protocols.
