CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant, Stroke Med-Surg Telemetry NightsJoin a compassionate healthcare team providing essential patient care in a busy medical surgical telemetry unit focused on stroke patients. This full-time night shift role offers a supportive environment where your contributions directly impact patient comfort and safety.Key Responsibilities:Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.Provide direct patient care and respond promptly to patient needs or report concerns to nursing staff.Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated tasks efficiently and safely.Maintain a clean, well-stocked patient environment and ensure proper use of equipment and supplies.Participate in cost containment efforts and assist with accurate patient service charging.Engage in ongoing educational and performance improvement activities.Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.Demonstrate commitment to patient satisfaction, throughput, and overall hospital capacity goals.Education and Certifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.BLS certification from the American Heart Association.Experience and Skills:No prior experience required; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Basic computer proficiency.Ability to work flexible shifts and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and turn patients as needed.Visual and auditory acuity to observe patient conditions.Exposure to blood and body fluids with adherence to safety protocols.This position is located in a vibrant healthcare setting serving a diverse population in the Southeastern United States region.
