CNA - Certified Nursing AssistantLocation: Wallingford, CTPay Rate: $35,000 to $45,000 per yearPosition OverviewA wonderful opportunity exists in Wallingford, CT for compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants to join a thriving senior living community. The senior care industry continues to grow rapidly as the population ages, creating strong and consistent demand for skilled CNAs across Connecticut and the broader New England region.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist residents with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toiletingMonitor and accurately record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration ratesRespond promptly and attentively to resident call lights and requests for assistanceAssist with safe resident transfers and repositioning using proper body mechanics and assistive devicesProvide compassionate emotional support and meaningful companionship to residents and their visiting family membersAccurately document observations regarding resident health, behavior, and any noticeable changes in conditionAssist residents during scheduled mealtimes and ensure proper nutrition and adequate hydrationMaintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within resident rooms and common living areasCollaborate effectively with licensed nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, person-centered careFollow all infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory compliance standards consistentlyRequirementsValid Connecticut CNA certification in good standing with the state registryMinimum of six months of hands-on experience working in a long-term care, assisted living, or skilled nursing facility settingStrong understanding of basic patient care principles and elderly care best practicesAbility to lift, transfer, and reposition residents safely, requiring physical stamina and strengthExcellent communication skills with residents, families, and healthcare team membersDemonstrated empathy, patience, and genuine commitment to resident-centered careAbility to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededReliable attendance record and strong professional work ethicBasic computer proficiency for electronic health record documentation purposesCurrent CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not strictly required at time of hirePreferred QualificationsExperience in a related field is preferredScreening QuestionsHow many years of experience do you have relevant to this CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant role?Do you hold any required licenses or certifications for this position?Are you available to work onsite in Wallingford, CT?
