Job description
Certified Nursing Aide (CNA)Under supervision of the Director of Nursing, performs duties related to providing basic nursing and personal care and assistance to the residents of the Martha Jefferson Health Care Center. Supports the Corporate Compliance Program, the Code of Ethical Conduct, and promotes the mission and values of Martha Jefferson House both internally and within the community.Essential Functions:1. Provides basic nursing, personal care and assistance to residents2. Assists with transporting residents to and from the dining area3. Assists residents with toileting, changing and bathroom privileges4. Turns residents confined in bed and assists with bed making5. Assists with maintenance and storage of residents' clothing and belongings and cleanliness of environment6. Takes and records residents' vital signs7. Cleans a variety of equipment8. Carries out proper cleansing and PPE with care for residents9. Empties soiled laundry bins, and trash cans10. Performs range of motion11. Assists resident with feeding and monitor food and liquid intake for nutritional status12. Informs charge nurse of change in residents' condition13. Provides post-mortem care14. Documents all care and notifies nurse of any refusals of care or change in resident's condition15. Performs other work as required
