The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, hands-on care to residents in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility. CNAs assist with daily living activities, support residents' physical and emotional well-being, and work collaboratively with nursing staff to ensure a safe, respectful, and dignified care environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.

Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, weight, and other health data as directed.

Answer call lights promptly and attend to resident needs in a timely, respectful manner.

Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries.

Observe and report any changes in the resident's condition, mood, or behavior to the nurse on duty.

Support residents with meal service, hydration, and nutritional needs.

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and common areas.

Foster positive, supportive relationships with residents, families, and team members.

Follow infection control protocols, safety procedures, and facility policies at all times.

Participate in shift reports, training, and team meetings as required.

Qualifications

Current Connecticut CNA certification in good standing.

Minimum 1 year of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or hospital setting (preferred, not required).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality resident care.

Join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need compassionate care every day!
