This role involves delivering fundamental patient support, monitoring and reporting any changes in patient conditions, and maintaining a well-stocked and clean patient unit.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform basic patient care tasks with attention to detail and empathy. Observe and communicate any abnormal occurrences or changes in patient status promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of supplies within the unit. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the healthcare team.Skills and AbilitiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Ability to read and understand English instructions. Willingness to accept guidance from a multidisciplinary team and adapt to varying work schedules. Quick learner with basic computer proficiency. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist patients safely. Visual and auditory acuity necessary for patient observation. Awareness of infection control practices due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.Education and CertificationsMust hold a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification registered with the appropriate state registry. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.ExperiencePrior experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial but not mandatory.
