CNA IIPart Time-NightsCentral Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital that is home to the region's only Cancer Care Center, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute. CMMC also serves as the central Maine base for LifeFlight of Maine, the state's only medical helicopter service.CMH also includes Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital, two 25-bed critical access hospitals that provide essential care to Maine's rural communities.As part of its commitment to healthcare education and workforce development, CMH is home to the Maine College of Health Professions, Maine's first nursing and medical imaging school. The private, not-for-profit institution is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education and plays an important role in training the next generation of healthcare professionals.To learn more, visit Certified Nursing Assistant II (CNA II) is an unlicensed person who performs indirect care in the department setting. The CNA II is responsible to monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitor. May assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the RN and within the scope of the CNA I (CNAI) job description as long as the activity does not distract from primary responsibility for dysrhythmia monitoring.QualificationsEducation, Experience, Training1. Current Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.).2. Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.3. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current4. Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician, preferred.5. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.6. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.7. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.8. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office, preferred.Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable, required):9. High School Diploma or equivalentPay TransparencyCentral Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $23.00 to $26.75.
