CNA - Part TimeJob Title: CNA - Part Time Profession: Nursing Assistant Specialty: Long Term Care Duration: Flexible end date Shift: All contracts must run through February/March Hours per Shift: 37.5 hours biweekly; 3 shifts/2 shifts rotation Experience: One (1) year of previous long-term care experience License: NYS Nursing Assistant Certification Certifications: BLS (AHA/RQI specifically) Must-Have: High School Diploma or GED Description: Meet residents' activities of daily living (ADLs) needs as outlined in the plan of care. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures within a safe and comfortable environment. Assist with hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence/catheter care, elimination/toileting needs, and turning/positioning. Maintain documentation per protocol. Ensure residents' environment and safety are upheld per the plan of care. Respond to call lights and alarms promptly. Provide safety mats and low beds, and utilize restraints under nursing direction. Maintain cleanliness of the unit and engage in behavior and fall prevention. Monitor for malfunctioning equipment and document as required per protocol. Meet residents' nutritional needs according to their plan of care. Assist with meal delivery, tray preparation, use of adaptive equipment, and feeding. Honor residents' preferences and choices while ensuring proper documentation. Address residents' rehabilitative needs in accordance with the plan of care. Support restorative and maintenance activities such as range of motion, ambulation, transfers, proper body alignment, and use of assistive devices. Complete documentation in accordance with established protocols. Report residents' rights, refusals, and concerns to the charge nurse promptly. Identify and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial status in a timely manner. Be aware of potential occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
