Job description
Job Summary:
Assist nursing staff in providing patient care in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting. Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents through direct support and assistance.
Responsibilities:
Deliver basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding residents.
Observe and report changes in residents’ health or behavior to nursing staff.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
Document resident care activities accurately and promptly.
Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques.
Follow facility policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
Valid CNA certification in good standing.
Proven experience working with elderly or chronically ill patients preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Must complete a health screening including COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
Reliable transportation and punctuality required.
