Job description
Call for Salary Rate –
Job Summary:
Provides basic nursing care to non-acute and acutely ill residents, ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive environment. Responsible for assisting with daily activities, vital sign monitoring, and resident safety under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Responsibilities:
Collects and documents nursing data through interviews and observations, reporting abnormalities to the supervising nurse.
Performs bedside care including positioning, hygiene, feeding, and assisting with mobility and transfers.
Maintains a safe environment by preparing rooms, handling supplies and linens, and ensuring equipment is working properly.
Assists with specimen collection, transport, and monitoring patient vital signs such as blood pressure and blood sugar.
Provides resident care for both non-ambulatory and ambulatory patients, including 1:1 safety supervision when needed.
Trains on telemetry monitoring and ECG procedures, and participates in performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Current Alaska CNA license with no restrictions.
CPR/BLS certification required.
Minimum 1 year previous CNA experience preferred.
Ability to lift and reposition residents safely and efficiently.
Strong judgment and calm demeanor in emergency situations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
