Westminster Baldwin Park Cook PositionsOur Life Plan Community, Westminster Baldwin Park, is nestled within the desirable Baldwin Park community, known for its walkable streets, charming town center, and welcoming atmosphere. Westminster Baldwin Park has two open positions for a Full Time Cooks to assist in our new Full Service Restaurant. We are a not-for-profit community service organization dedicated and committed to providing services for older adults.We are currently searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA with Med Tech certification to work in the Memory Care facility. In this role, the CNA is responsible to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards. This position reports to the Director of Memory Care. Schedule: Part Time | All shifts availableESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Assist patients/residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs.Ensure the following tasks are completed daily: beds are made; trash has been removed from the room, that meals are served to residents and maintain a high level of hygiene in the room.Observe and document residents' self-administration of medications, ensuring compliance with prescribed regimens and promptly reporting any irregularities or concerns to the nurse.Take and record vital signs; report any changes in resident conditions to the nurse.Practice Infection Prevention and Control measures in compliance with Federal, State and Facility requirements.QUALIFICATIONS:CNA License in accordance with laws of Florida.Medical Technician Certified-Med TechMust be CPR CertifiedExperience and Basic Knowledge: Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably a minimum of 6 months.Required Skills:Ability to provide direct patient care while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect.Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to transfer, lift, reposition, and assist residents safely using proper body mechanics and equipment.IMPORTANT NOTE: In alignment with public health best practices WESTMINSTER COMMUNITIES OF FL strongly encourages annual influenza vaccination for all healthcare personnel.
