Job description
Hospice of Western and Central Massachusetts is looking for a part-time CNA in Franklin County!
nThis is an on-the-road position that requires the candidate to have an insured vehicle and be willing to travel throughout the county. Weekly pay ranges from $22 to $24 an hour! 3 days a week from 8a-4:30p.
nYou perform various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient’s personal needs and to promote comfort. The hospice aide is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed.
nExperience & Education:
nnnMust hold an active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in this state.
n
nnMust be comfortable in patients' settings (skilled nursing, hospitals, homes, etc.)
n
nnMust have at least one year of experience as a CNA.
n
n nDuties & Responsibilities:
nnnPerforming personal care needs per plan of care, including bathing, feeding, and dressing.
n
nnProviding patients and families with a positive communication chain and a friendly and professional environment.
n
nnMeet the safety needs of the patient using equipment safely and properly.
n
nnPlanning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping, as assigned.
n
nnTaking and recording oral, rectal, and auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency.
n
nnProviding proper care and observation of the patient’s skin.
n
nnAssessing and reporting on the patient’s condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.
n
nnAssisting in ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist.
n
nnProvide normal range of motion and transfers/positioning as directed.
