LTC/Skilled Nursing JobType of Facility: Skilled Nursing Unit as part of the acute hospitalPrivate/Semi-private rooms: Semi-private roomsEMR: CernerRatios: RN's: 5:1Required Certifications: BLS for RNs, LPNs and CNAsCommon diagnosis / Types of patients: Pulmonary diagnosis requiring oxygen, Alzheimer's, DementiaJob Duties: RNs can pass meds, Wound care, trach care, IV care Respiratory Therapy supports stable vents and trach careExperience or 'Must have' skills: Prior SNF or Subacute experienceAre there IV's or titratable drips? No Titratable DripsArea there Tele monitors? If so do you have monitor techs on this unit? NoDo RN's read strips? NoAre RN's required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab? YesDON/Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: House Supervisor - YesPhysician availability after hours: YesInterdisciplinary Team: PT/OT/SLP, Pulmonary or Cardiac Rehab, Case Managers, Social Workers, Dieticians?
