nJob Description:
nnnPerforms treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
n
nnFunctions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
n
nnParticipates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
n
nnFollows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
n
nnExhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
n
nnCommunicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
n
nnAssists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
n
nnDocuments and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy. Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.
n
nnAssists in identifying patient needs.
n
nnOther duties as assigned.

n nEducation:
nnHigh School Grad or Equiv (Required)
n nWork Experience:
nnn1+ applicable PCT experience (Preferred)
n
nnPrevious bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience (Preferred)
n
n nLicenses and Certifications:
nnnBasic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)
n
nnCertified Nurse Assistant (CNA) (Required) OR
n
nnCertified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) (Required) OR
n
nnEmergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) (Required)
n

nBackground Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
