Part-Time CNA/Program Aide Opportunity

Empath Health is seeking a compassionate Part-Time CNA/Program Aide to join our interdisciplinary PACE team in Pinellas Park, FL. Under the direction and supervision of the Day Center Supervisor, the CNA/Program Aide is responsible for providing and assisting participants with activities of daily living, restorative and supportive care. Team-Driven, Preventive Focus: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other clinicians in a true interdisciplinary care model focused on prevention and holistic well-being.

What You'll Do

Consults each day with the Home Care Coordinator (or designee) to be updated on participant's status and any changes that need to be implemented on their plan of care

Personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care and bathing.

Assists participants in and out of bed assisting with ambulation.

Assisting with prescribed exercise which participants and aide have been taught by appropriate personnel.

Prepares meals, including therapeutic diets, assists participants with meals.

Assist participants to the bathroom or in using commodes, bedpans, or urinals.

Reports changes in participant's condition and needs to the Registered Nurse.

Completes appropriate documentation of services provided

Maintains the confidentiality of all company procedures, results, and information about participants, clients or families.

Participates in continuing education classes and any required staff and training meetings.

What You'll Need

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Current Certification as Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) in the State of Florida

Continuing Education: As required for licensure.

Certifications: Current Certification as Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) in the State of Florida required

Home Health Aide certification with 75 hours completed preferred

Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
