Job Opportunity At HarmonyThe CNA/Direct Care Giver provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents of the community. The CNA encourages residents to function at their highest level of independence and to participate in community activities. Conducts activities and provides for a meaningful experience for all residents.Responsibilities include maintaining a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position, assisting residents with activities of daily living, reporting incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals, performing housekeeping duties, responding promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts, remaining calm and competent during emergencies, assisting in planning and conducting activity programs for residents, following confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information, assisting residents to and from the dining room and activities, checking on residents, ensuring attendance at meals and activities, checking on residents who are ill and reporting status or concerns to appropriate individuals, documenting appropriately when necessary, communicating verbally and in writing to report resident status, upcoming community information, resident appointments, admissions, and transfers, assisting new residents with move-in transition, providing emotional support, reporting all resident changes and interventions and interventions in the Daily Log and clinical record, notifying family as directed, and completing all other duties as assigned.Requirements include possessing a current CNA license from the State in which the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing, effectively communicating verbally and in writing, being organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel, being a contributing member of the nursing team and following instruction of supervisor, being polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times, being able to walk and stand for extended periods of time, being able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs, being able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics, being in designated uniform during working hours, to include name badge and a smile, being CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire, being able to represent the community in a positive and professional manner, attending and completing all required in-services and staff meetings, and being willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.Why Harmony?401k + Fulltime & Part-time Benefits PackagesTraining, Development & Career LadderingGreat work-life balanceFlexible Scheduling
