Now Hiring: PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Skilled Nursing Unit Northwest Florida Community Hospital – Chipley, FLNorthwest Florida Community Hospital (NFCH) is seeking a compassionate and dependable PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU). This role is essential in providing high-quality, patient-centered care and supporting our nursing team in delivering exceptional service to our residents.Position SummaryThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse. The CNA plays a vital role in maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and safety while assisting with daily care needs in a skilled nursing environment.SchedulePRN (as needed)Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidaysKey ResponsibilitiesAssist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feedingObtain and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, weight, and intake/output)Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nurse promptlyAssist with patient mobility, transfers, repositioning, and use of assistive devicesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environmentProvide emotional support and companionship to residents and familiesAnswer call lights promptly and respond to patient needs in a timely and professional mannerAssist nursing staff with treatments and procedures as directedAccurately document care provided in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirementsFollow infection control procedures, including proper use of PPEAdhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and patient privacy regulations (HIPAA)QualificationsCurrent Florida CNA certification (active and in good standing)Current BLS certification (preferred or required upon hire)Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or hospital setting preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentCompassionate, patient-focused attitude with strong attention to detailPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, move, or assist patients (up to 50+ lbs with assistance)Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shiftAbility to respond quickly in emergency situationsWork EnvironmentSkilled Nursing Unit within a hospital settingFast-paced environment requiring multitasking and prioritizationExposure to infectious diseases and bodily fluids; adherence to PPE requiredWhy Join NFCH?Supportive, team-oriented cultureOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in patients' livesFlexible PRN schedulingWork in a respected community hospital setting
