About the Facility - Phoenix VAMC, The Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center
Department of Veterans Affairs offers healthcare services to eligible military veterans at VA medical centers and outpatient clinics across the country. The Phoenix VA Health Care System proudly serves Veterans in central Arizona at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center and nine community-based outpatient VA clinics.

CNA RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to) The CNA delivers care to patients with diverse injuries and illnesses specific to the specialty clinic.
Perform comprehensive professional nursing duties, including assessment, treatment, and patient education by the direction of the registered nurse.
Ensures timely follow-up for lab tests, imaging results, and specialty appointments.
Shall provide counseling and education to patients and families, promoting self-care and improved health outcomes.
Assist with clinic-specific procedures by the instruction of the nurse supervisor, including minor surgeries, wound care, orthopedic procedures, etc.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS Must have at least one year of direct patient care experience in specialty care.
Has and maintains BLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
Current license as a certified nurse assistant in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth in the US or District of Columbia.
Must have COVID Vaccine Certification.
