Candidates will be evaluated based on their individual experience, skills and qualifications to determine the position level that best fits their background.What You'll DoDepending on your experience and position level, responsibilities may include:Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes and conventional/manual machining equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and work ordersSelect, align and secure fixtures, cutting tools and materialsInput, proof and edit CNC programs as necessaryOperate machines to produce precision componentsMeasure finished workpieces and adjust machine offsets to maintain required tolerancesPerform first-piece inspections and use precision measuring/QC instrumentsIdentify and report nonconforming products or machining issuesDeburr and finish parts as requiredComplete work-order and production documentationOptimize tooling and programs to improve productionOperate forklifts, overhead cranes and JIB cranes as requiredAt senior levels, coach and train less-experienced machinists and operate larger or more complex equipmentWhat We're Looking ForCandidates should have machining experience appropriate to their skill level. Experience with any combination of the following is encouraged:CNC Mills • CNC Lathes • Manual Mills • Manual Lathes • Drill Presses • Broaching • Grinders • Shapers • Precision Measuring EquipmentCandidates should also have:Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentsWorking knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Basic knowledge of algebra and geometry as applicable to machiningStrong attention to quality and precisionA commitment to safe work practicesSafety Matters HereOur client maintains a safety-driven culture where working safely is an essential part of every job, every day.
