We aim to execute our Built to Make You Better brand promise for all our stakeholders, including our associates.Brief Position Summary:Regrind, recondition and/or manufacture cutting tools per instructions.Duties and Responsibilities:Grind tools per work instructionsInspect tools per printSetup machine before starting work order instructionsReturn tooling to proper location after completion of work order instructionTrain others as neededReport & communicate on a daily basis to Shop SupervisorDrives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as requiredEducation and Experience:High School GraduateBasic math skillsSkills:Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously.Ability to read blueprintsAbility to inspect tools per printAbility to read work order instructionsAbility to train othersOther Requirements:Stationed in the shop approximately 95% of working timeOccasional overtime hours requiredWork in a fast past environmentWork under deadlinesSafety Hazards of the Job:Minimal hazards. General shop working conditions.Required Training for the Job:8 weeks on-site job training with other Tru-Edge associate – work 100% checkedSafety Training for the Job (to be completed in the first 6 months):General Safety PlanEmergency Action PlanFire Safety PlanCompensation starting at $19.62 - $28.77/hr depending on candidate location and experience.The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
