Job description
CNC Finishing TechnicianAs a CNC Finishing Technician, you will contribute to the precision and quality of our CNC machining process by performing pre- and post-machining operations. This includes raw material preparation, detabbing, sanding, vapor honing, and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet SendCutSend's standards. You'll also assist with packaging and shipping orders to customers. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and strong teamwork.SendCutSend is an on-demand manufacturing company specializing in custom sheet metal and CNC machining. If you're excited to join the team and grow with us, we want to hear from you!What you'll doPerform pre-machining operations, including cutting raw material using a sawConduct post-machining operations such as detabbing, sanding, and vapor honing CNC partsInspect parts visually and dimensionally to verify accuracy and qualityMaintain and clean tools, machines, and work areas to ensure a safe, organized workspacePackage and prepare completed parts for shipment, ensuring accuracy and protection during transitFollow production schedules, work orders, and quality standardsWork closely with the team to identify and resolve process issues or improvementsOperate safely and comply with all company policies and safety proceduresPerform other related duties as assignedMinimum qualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishProficiency with basic hand tools and measurement instrumentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workAbility to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to learn new processes and take direction from Leads and SupervisorsPreferred qualificationsPrevious experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or CNC environmentExperience with sanding, deburring, or surface finishing processesFamiliarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers or micrometersEssential physical requirementsAbility to repeatedly lift 25 lbs and lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand and walk for 10 to 12 hour shiftsAbility to bend, reach, and work around large industrial equipmentWork environmentManufacturing and production floor environmentWork performed around CNC machines and material handling equipmentExposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materialsUse of required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all timesThis position requires working in close proximity to equipment that generates strong electromagnetic fields (EMF).
