CNC Laser Operator - 2nd ShiftPay: $21/hr - $26/hr plus 10% shift differentialJob Type: Full-time, 2nd shift (4pm to 2:30am M-Th)Location: Fisher, ILThis position requires ITAR compliance and may involve access to technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). With three state-of-the-art facilities spanning 225,000 square feet in Illinois and North Carolina, we serve high-spec markets including power generation, healthcare, electrical power distribution, aerospace and defense, life sciences, and more.Position Overview: The CNC Laser Operator will prepare and operate Trumpf laser cutting machine(s) to support production team(s) in accordance with company specifications.Key Responsibilities:Perform set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections.Adjust and prepare punch/laser combinations of jobs, read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.Be comfortable using measuring tools to complete tasks (micrometers, height gages and bore gages).Set-up, adjust and prepare punch/laser combinations of jobsEnsure material is loaded into the laser, and the machine control is set-up to run to scheduleDeburring parts with file or grinder as neededPerform set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspectionsQualifications:Strong mechanical knowledge and manufacturing experienceAbility to read blueprints and manufacturing drawingsProficiency in laser cutting and programmingFamiliarity with GD&T and precision measuring instruments, including bore gauges and micrometersBasic math skills and ability to read blueprintsExperience with hand tools, fabrication, and quality inspectionKnowledge of machining processes, including CNC and press brake operationPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a 10-hour shift.Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, and grasp.Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery and measuring equipment.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Working Conditions:Manufacturing production environment.Regular exposure to machinery, metal materials, and industrial noise.Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required to meet production demands.Benefits:Retirement plan 401(k) with 401(k) matchHealthcare, Dental & Vision insuranceFlexible spending account or Health savings account optionLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceReferral programH3 Manufacturing Group, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer that prohibits discrimination or harassment of any type.
