Job description
CNC Machine OperatorThe CNC Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production. Duties/Responsibilities: Operates vertical and horizontal milling machine centers, related tools, and equipment. Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances. Performs in-process inspections. Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance and effectively communicates machine malfunctions. Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors. Carries out other duties as assigned or required.Required Skills/Abilities: Must be able to read blueprints, follow instructions, read instruments, and identify tooling and hardware. Must be a citizen of the USA or a legal resident alien. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess excellent time management skills. Must be able to multi-task. Must be able to follow verbal as well as written instructions. Must understand the importance of keeping production on-schedule to meet customer delivery dates. Must understand the importance of adhering to Company Safety and Quality Management System policies.Supervisory Responsibilities: None.Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of related experience desired.Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
