Job description
CNC Machine OperatorWe are seeking a CNC Machine Operator with strong machining knowledge and hands-on experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery, interpreting blueprints and process sheets, performing inspections, and maintaining quality standards while ensuring safe and efficient production operations.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret process sheets, blueprints, sketches, and work instructions to determine machining operations and dimensional specificationsMount workpieces into fixtures, chucks, or centers and prepare machines for operationOperate one or more CNC machine tools and monitor machining operationsObserve machine control displays and verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and machining speedsMake tooling and size offset adjustments as requiredRead and understand basic G/M codesInspect first-run parts and perform spot inspections on subsequent pieces to ensure compliance with specificationsOrganize materials and job packets for upcoming production runs during machine cyclesMaintain clean and organized machine, floor, and work areas at all timesComplete timecards, process sheets, tub cards, and reject tags accuratelySegregate and place rejected or scrap material in designated locationsPerform machine setups with low complexity independently within allocated production timelinesComplete first article inspections and support quality requirementsRequired QualificationsExperience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read blueprints, process sheets, and machining sketchesBasic knowledge of G/M codes and CNC programming conceptsAbility to use precision measuring instruments and inspection toolsStrong understanding of machining processes and quality standardsGood troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and maintain productivity goals
