CNC Machine OperatorLocation: Stevensville, MTMaztech Industries is a rapidly growing technology company specializing in advanced electrooptical systems for military and commercial applications, including night vision, laser systems, ranging technologies, and associated capabilities. Our manufacturing team supports the production of high-precision components used in demanding real-world environments where quality, reliability, and innovation matter.We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join our precision machining team in Stevensville, Montana. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in advanced CNC machining within a modern, high-tech manufacturing environment.Machine Operators support production by operating CNC equipment, performing in-process inspections, maintaining quality standards, and learning advanced machining processes alongside experienced machinists and programmers. This role serves as an entry point into Maztech's machinist career progression path, with opportunities to advance into Machinist I and Machinist II roles.ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC vertical mills, horizontal mills, and lathes in a production environmentLoad raw material and fixtures into machines according to setup documentationStart and monitor machining cycles while ensuring safe machine operationPerform basic in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gaugesVerify parts meet print dimensions and quality requirementsIdentify and report machining issues, tool wear, or dimensional concerns to Machinists or SupervisorsPerform deburring, blasting, and other finishing operations to ensure parts meet quality and appearance standards.Maintain accurate production and inspection recordsFollow established work instructions, setup sheets, and quality proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work areaPerform routine daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance including cleaning equipment, managing chip removal, checking fluid levels, maintaining tooling, and supporting overall machine readiness and uptime.Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the machining departmentLearn advanced machining practices and progressively develop setup and troubleshooting skillsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required0–2 years of manufacturing or machining experience preferredTrade school or technical training is a plusMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn CNC machining processesAbility to read basic engineering drawings and follow written instructionsBasic understanding of precision measuring tools preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced production environmentPositive attitude and strong work ethicPreferred SkillsExposure to CNC machining or manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with Haas CNC equipmentExperience working with aluminum and stainless steel componentsInterest in advanced manufacturing technologies and precision machiningPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyFrequent use of hands and precision measuring toolsExposure to machining coolant, metal chips, and industrial noiseRequired use of eye and ear protection in designated manufacturing areasCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experience and qualificationsOpportunities for advancement into Machinist career-track positionsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesAt Maztech, we don't just accept difference - we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our community.
